Michael Misha Kennedy

Michael Misha Kennedy combines the stylistic accomplishments of Impressionism with modern subject matter and techniques. Kennedy also creates some of his works on multi-dimensional surfaces, adding a sculptural appeal to his works. His background in design and Master of Acrylics title are evident in his bright, eye-catching canvases, where geometric patterns and additional textures make these paintings into decorative objects. Kennedy says he rotates the canvases as he works on abstract paintings, giving the works a sense of movement and life. He seeks a conflict or tension between hues, patterns, theories, and textures; he says it mimics what we see in nature.
